Ariel J. releases her new single ‘Promise’.
It’s another fantastic showcase of her promise as this new release comes on the heels of other recent standout’s ‘A Song For You’ and the summertime beauty ‘There 4 You’. The singer, songwriter from Mississippi is garnering the attention of R&B fans with her sultry vocals and outstanding songwriting skills and this song backs that hype.
Tapping rapper Deuces for a feature verse, and produced by Roy Chase, the string-heavy offering has Ariel speaking on the impacts of social media on relationships, singing “I don’t post no pics and they don’t really see me with you / got enough problems as it is we don’t need no more issues / don’t want nobody messin’ with the love we fallin’ into / I’m doing all this for you”.
Taking a quick snip from Usher as she’s “Been waiting for this for so long”, it’s a perfect balance of influence of the 90’s golden era of Love mixed in with today’s music and social issues with media sites. She transitions to Deuces verse as he gives his perspective on her thoughts as the two appear to be on the same page as he goes a little bit deeper with the Usher references and does a solid job bringing it all together.
