The single is an inspirational tribute to black girls and women specifically, but more importantly for women everywhere who will add this anthem to their playlist due to it’s empowering and uplifting nature.
This song was written to highlight the beauty and strength of black women and how they are misperceived, over the backdrop of gorgeous ivory and neo-soul soundscapes.
Dessy, originally from Montréal who later moved to Florida to further her career, now calls Los Angeles home and is currently working on her long awaited solo album. With no current release date, the project is a mix of Lofi-RnB, nu-soul, jazzy, Brazilian and Cuban influences and contains a mix of beautiful melodies, poignant lyrics and amazing vibes.
