Drake releases his highly anticipated LP “Certified Lover Boy”.
After over a year of making the announcement, and multiple misleading stories and posts, the highly anticipated album from Drake is finally here. Of course it was late… but only by a couple of hours on streaming platforms. The timing is also interesting reaching DSP just 1 week after Kanye shared his album “Donda”. Recently fans have been seeing the two publicly beefing with each other – even seeing Ye release Drake’s home address.
But he delivers the goods, a 21-track release which was way more then any one was anticipating. Drake describes the release as “A combination of toxic masculinity and acceptance of truth which is inevitably heartbreaking” and proclaims the album is “Dedicated to Nadia Ntuli and Mercedes Morr. RIP”.
Drake and OVO take to billboards throughout major cities to announce cryptic feature artists including:
- Giveon
- Future
- Jay-Z
- 21 Savage
- Tems
- Ty Dolla $ign
- Lil Wayne
and so many more. He’s brilliant in the release calling himself a lesbian and romantically recognizing that his soulmate is out there somewhere yet still stays on attack mode with razor sharp lyrics and verses. Currently no announcement on merch or tour info – however the video for ‘Way 2 Sexy’ just premiered. The album is available everywhere and is probably the only thing being talked about in your circle. Get into it right here.
