Music Group had the opportunity to connect with emerging superstar Gabrielle Lynn as she enjoys the success of her latest project “Gabrielle”.
Gabrielle released her EP on January 1st and has seen significant traction on the album, specifically for her singles ‘In My Dreams’, and our favourite ‘Peace’. You can read about, and listen to the EP right here, and watch our interview below. We’ve kept it short and sweet, coming in at less than 9 minutes, as Gabrielle gives us 1-minute or less answers for each of the questions.
Press play below to get to know a little bit more about this humble, honest and sincere artist as she answers the following questions below!
(1) Congratulations on the release of your EP Gabrielle! I truly hope that you had as much fun creating this as we are listening to it. Thank you for taking the time out to spend a moment to answer some questions about you and your music. Can you help us understand who Gabrielle is firstly? Are you Gabrielle Lynn, Gabrielle Henry, both, or neither 🙂
(2) Rumour has it that you’re not technically trained in vocal performance and that this talent actually just comes naturally to you – is this true?
(3) You and DeMario Bridges have collaborated on the last three projects of yours with ‘Ethereal’, ‘Irresistible’ and now ‘Gabrielle’. How did you guys connect and more importantly how does this partnership continue to create refreshing original music?
(4) Releasing the video for “Change A Thing” was a very personal and unguarded celebration that most artists protect at all costs. I think its incredibly important for artists to do this and connect with fans on personal levels – What made you decide to capture your daughters in the video opening up that side of your life?
(6) When we wrote about the EP, it was without a doubt that “Peace” was the jewel for us. Can you give us the background of what allowed you to write and create such a beautiful song and who it was about?
(7) As we watch the streaming numbers go up, “In My Dreams” and “Peace” have started to separate themselves from the other tracks on the album, even eclipsing “Change A Thing”. Can fans expect to see another video for one of those two in the near future?
(8) This year, we saw The Weeknd get snuffed from the Grammy Awards which was later considered punishment due to him taking too long to decide on performing at the halftime show at the Superbowl or performing at the Grammy’s – Nothing to do with his “After Hours” album. With this becoming a trend with politics interfering in Award Ceremonies, what would you like to see or what would you do to ensure artists are celebrated the right way?
(10) If you had your pick, who would be your dream feature / artist collaboration and how far in the future do you think something like that can happen?
(11) Aside from Music and being a Mom, what does Gabrielle love to do when she finds herself with some free time?
Special thank you to Rio Bridges and Savant Soundz for this interview opportunity!
