Jay Willy is out with his new album “New Moon”.
Like a new moon represents the start of a new lunar cycle, its symbolism can define a new beginning which is exactly the statement that Jay is making here. It’s his time.
He describes the new eight-track project as containing “great producers, solid features, amazing artists, a diversity of styles, moods and the best songs you have ever heard from Jay Willy.” So the bar is high from that comment, but he doesn’t slip, starting out the album with his signature ‘Boy On Glow’ produced by RoseGold (video attached).
He follows that up with his previously released single ‘Score’ featuring HiddenHills. It’s a string-based opening reminiscent of a high-noon western that has the pair ready for battle, staying true-to-self, where ironically Jay speaks on haters wanting to pull his strings. The two artists really compliment each other on this track as HH pops in for a short verse in the second half.
The quote from Jay Willy aka Hollywood Jay is a perfect description of the authenticity you’re going to experience when you delve into this sound. This truly is a refreshing and diverse project that will have something any R&B fan will really get into. This is Volume one of three, so press play below to stream the New Moon from this emerging artist from Canada.
