Kendrick P. drops his latest album titled “W.Y.A.F.” (What You Asked For).
Wow, this album is not getting anywhere near the attention it should be commanding. The 10-track project only has one song registering over 1,000 streams and is one that R&B fans should not be sleeping on. The Tennessee native has been doing this for a long time and is projects deep, but has quite simply taken the steps to become a buzzing artist, and his latest album vindicates this.
Leading with his single ‘Vibe Slow’ (video attached) which dropped last month, produced by ChrisP, the love song has Kendrick singing “lets make this happen / I think I feel a soul attraction / to treat you right I might need practice / but ain’t no rushin’ in this”. The warm and refreshing narrative pulls you in as the strings float over drip-drops with unwavering lyrical sound and control filling you up with ear-candy you can’t help but play over-and-over.
The singer / songwriter taps multiple producers for the album which easily finds itself in the no-skip zone with additional standout singles like the Ginuwine influenced ‘Those Jeans’, and the second lead off the project ‘Fallen’ which was released back in June.
