Marc E. Bassy publishes his new LP titled “East Hollywood 2”.
As you might have guessed it by the name, this is the follow-up to his acclaimed sophomore album from 2015 of the same name, which has garnered 100’s of millions of streams, as he looks to build off of that success with the sequel.
The California singer, songwriter follows up his most recent project “Little Men” from December last year, and includes his lead singles ‘Levels’ and ‘Power’ on this one. He noticeably gives Spotify the boot as the project is available for streaming everywhere else as he takes to IG to announce the release, saying “Sometimes you have to go back to the basics”.
He gives listeners more context to the creative process behind the body-of-work saying “I made this project with my friends in my house over the course of 10 sessions. All songs are stories from my life, reflections on the last five years battling to stay balanced in a grinding-ego maniacal industry of sex, drugs and heartbreak.” Marc goes on to say its time for a change and that he’s leaving L.A., saying that this will be the last album that he manifests from there, saying “I leave you with this body of work – an ever flowing adoration of a true city of industry, a place where your soul is on the line everyday.”
