The Legendary Musiq Soulchild is back with a ten-track project titled “Victims & Villains”.
The Atlanta native teams up with Hit-Boy as the Executive Producer, and brings in accomplished songwriter A-Lex as the trio absolutely nail it. Musiq has not stopped working since he premiered his first body of work at the turn of the millennium when “Aijuswanaseing” was published in November of 2000 changing labels multiple times, collaborating on projects and even showing up on the small screen.
He’s now on his second project under his “SoulStar” label and makes no mistakes on this album. He includes lead singles ‘I Remember You My Ex’ and ‘beat of a slow dance’ leaving eight new joints for fans to go crazy on. If you ever spent time on any of his previous acclaimed projects in the 2000’s, you’re going to absolutely revel in this new album. Musiq is truly back to that beautiful Neo Soul style fans fell in love with, welcoming modern flares of production to tie this work together perfectly.
Musiq has been very honest about his vulnerabilities releasing this music saying he knows he’s taken a long time to get back to this authenticity and his trepidation that people might not care about his music anymore – but that was quickly squashed at his listening party.
