Raheem DeVaughn publishes his new LP titled “What A Time To Be In Love”.
It’s the eighth studio album from The Love King as he delivers 14 tracks, executive produced by superstar duo ‘The Colleagues’. These two previously collided on The Colleagues album called “Another Love Story” back in August 2019 and stick to the winning formula.
The 3x Grammy nominated veteran leads the project out with three singles, ‘Mr. Midnight’, his buzzing single ‘Twilight’ and the Marvin Gaye-dedicated ‘Marvin Used To Say’, which speaks to today’s turmoil referencing that these are the same topics Marvin Gaye wrote about 50 years ago – and what has changed since then?
It’s crazy to think that Raheem has been doing this professionally since 2005 when he released his timeless album “The Love Experience” and fifteen years later the preservation of his sound is still profound. The Neo-Soul Great references this when talking about his new album: “I have always been part or the culture shift of Soul & R&B from a mixtape level to a mainstream industry level since the early 2000s so album number eight, “What A Time To Be in Love” will be no less then nostalgic vibes that not only speak to the consciousness and social climate on the world, but also to the lover in you. It’s a classic album!”
