Maryland breakout star Reggie Becton is out with a new single titled ‘Listenin’.
The single pays homage to Aaliyah who lost her life on August 26th, the day of this release, back in 2001. Reggie uses the iconic instrumental sounds and snare’s made famous by Aaliyah’s long-time producer Timbaland in the 90’s on this track to send listeners back in time to that era she dominated.
Reggie says “My summer single inspired by the sounds of Aaliyah making toxic love sound like sweet nothings”, dropping the single on the sunset of the season. “Babe, are you listenin’? As soon as you call / I go through withdrawals / Babe, all I wanna do is get high with you”.
