UMI makes good on her announcement publishing her massive new project titled “Forest In The City”.
The U.S. singer, songwriter follows up her acclaimed EP from 2020 “Introspection” with a monster fifteen-track release. She includes her lead singles ‘Sorry’ and Whatever U Like’ as well as her final release ‘Moonlit Room’ that debuted just two weeks ago.
She doesn’t market this one as much as her last, but takes the time out to provide listeners with context on the album by writing “i wanted to share with you my intention for this album 🙂 I know existing in the city can be hard sometimes. existing in this world can be hard. full of noise. the urge to get away and be in nature is so universal, but not always possible.”
She goes on to say that the message comes directly from a place of empathy, saying “feeling this myself, i wanted to create an album that could be a sonic oasis. So that no matter where u are in the city, listening can connect you back to the natural world. to remind you of the peace that exists within. may this album be medicine for you.”
It’s an absolute perfect description from UMI who cohesively aligns the message with the product. Her therapeutic vocals, lyrics and use of instruments sets an oasis of a listening experience that fans are surely going to love. Find your streaming platform here, or press play below to check it out.
